Peace of Mind

Intelligent Deterrence

Car-Free Vancouver

Heard across a street. Highly intelligent. A bike alarm like no other! $210 CAD. Direct from manufacturer: $120 CAD.

These are not how-tos; rather, they are records of my own practices–often unsuitable for most people.

Compared to most/all places I’ve seen in North America, Vancouver is a very bike-friendly city, with a proper grid of paths, and consistent growth. Yes, there are lots of problems, but there’s hope. If your expectations are not, say, at Dutch/Utrecht levels, you’d eventually find your comfort spots/routes.

From here, I’ve ventured out to Coquitlam–a nearby suburb–and farther north to Squamish and Whistler. The local mountains are Seymour, Grouse and Cypress. I’ll try to add notes for them as I go. (No pun!)
