Supply Crisis: Electronic Components

Heard across a street. Highly intelligent. A bike alarm like no other! $210 CAD. Direct from manufacturer: $120 CAD.

The worldwide supply crisis has resulted in a shortage of electronic components. While this has impacted large vendors more than it could me, it never the less has caused obstacles.

The electronics of Minder1 have to be assembled onto a PCB, which is a distillation of the circuitry onto a small plate. This is done by fabrication plants which source components from other companies, then manufacture the PCB. Well, the supply of various components suddenly disappears, not to mention the rise in price. And, as yet, there is no predicting which components go amiss!

I have been trying to manage this as best as I can. But, there is a limit to work-arounds, when you are at the tail-end of a worldwide crisis.
